The SmallHD Cine 7 RED RCP2 Kit (KOMODO, DSMC3) gives you control of a RED KOMODO or V-RAPTOR (DSMC3) camera from a 7-inch touchscreen. It pairs a Cine 7 monitor with SmallHD's Camera Control for RED RCP2 cameras and the cables to connect the two.

RED RCP2 camera control

The licence is a digital download, activated with a code, that opens the camera's internal settings to touchscreen configuration tools on the Cine 7. Once Camera Control is registered to a SmallHD monitor, it can't be removed or transferred to a different monitor.

Kit contents

Alongside the monitor and the licence, the kit includes a RED EXT camera control cable, a 4-pin RED CTRL to 5-pin USB cable, a Cine 7 USB to 5-pin adapter and a cleaning cloth.

About the Cine 7

Cine 7 is a 7-inch on-camera monitor with a 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen, a 160-degree viewing angle and 10-bit processing on an 8-bit panel. It has two 3G-SDI inputs (the second doubles as a loop out) and an HDMI input with HDMI loop-through. The Cine 7 takes a Sony L-Series dual battery bracket, with a Gold Mount or V-Mount battery plate as an option.

PageOS and build

PageOS lets you build custom Page Profiles and use SmallHD's frame guides, focus and exposure assist, 3D LUT overlays, histogram, vectorscope and waveform. The monitor runs on 10 to 34 V DC through a 2-pin locking input, and its anodised aluminium chassis has four 1/4-20 mounting points.
