The SmallHD Cine 7 RED DSMC2 Kit brings RED DSMC2 camera control to a 7-inch touchscreen. It combines a Cine 7 monitor with SmallHD's Camera Control for RED DSMC2 licence, the control cable and the accessories to rig it.

RED DSMC2 camera control

The licence is a digital download, activated with a code, that gives touchscreen access to the camera's internal settings. A RED CTRL 4-pin to SmallHD 5-pin USB cable connects camera and monitor, and a Micro USB to 5-pin adapter is used to install Camera Control on the Cine 7. Once registered, the licence stays with that monitor and can't be transferred.

Battery bracket, sunhood and more

The Sony L-Series battery bracket has a locking system that stops the battery coming loose by accident. The Smart 7 Sunhood converts from three sides to four with snaps and has mounting brackets with 1/4-20 points, and the UltraClear screen protector adds scratch resistance and polarisation. There's also an 8GB SD card for 3D LUTs and captured images, a 36-inch P-Tap to 2-pin power cable and a SmallHD cleaning cloth.

Cine 7 display and inputs

Cine 7's 7-inch IPS touchscreen runs at 1920 x 1200 with 10-bit processing on an 8-bit panel. Two 3G-SDI inputs, the second doubling as a loop out, sit beside an HDMI input with loop-through, and Gold Mount or V-Mount battery plates are optional.

Monitoring tools and power

PageOS supports custom Page Profiles with frame guides, focus and exposure assist, 3D LUT overlays, histogram, vectorscope and waveform. Power comes in at 10 to 34 V DC through a 2-pin locking input.
