Digitally switchable pad and frequency settings replace analogue switches, with a selectable 75Hz low-cut filter and a switchable treble boost on hand when extra clarity is needed. Low-noise circuitry and minimal handling noise reduce the amount of audio clean-up needed in post-production. Elevated sensitivity produces strong output levels without heavy gain at the mic preamp, and the NTG4+ has a high maximum SPL before distortion. Sonically it leans warm, with a gentle dip in high frequencies. It has a lightweight metal housing and ships with a windscreen.
