The Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. is a macro prime for Micro Four Thirds, optimised for close-up work with a 90mm full-frame equivalent field of view. Maximum aperture is f/2.8 (aperture range f/2.8 to f/22), and the lens achieves 1:1 magnification at a minimum focus distance of 5.9 inches. One ED element and one aspherical element, both multi-coated, control aberrations at close range, and an internal focusing and floating element system maintains sharpness from macro distance out to infinity. A focus range limit switch speeds up autofocus by restricting the search range, and this lens uses Panasonic's MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer to steady handheld close-up shooting. A rounded 7-blade diaphragm completes the build on the Micro Four Thirds mount.
