The Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8 POWER O.I.S. is a super-telephoto prime for Micro Four Thirds, developed jointly with Leica for wildlife, sport and other long-reach work. Its 200mm focal length gives a 400mm full-frame equivalent, and the fast f/2.8 maximum aperture (aperture range f/2.8 to f/22) supports low-light shooting and a shallow depth of field at distance. Two Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion elements control colour fringing, and Nano Surface Coating cuts ghosting and flare. A triple linear autofocus motor drives focus, backed by a focus limiter and focus memory for fast re-acquisition. POWER O.I.S. stabilises handheld shots at this reach, and splash-, dust- and freezeproof construction suits demanding outdoor conditions on the Micro Four Thirds mount. The lens ships with the DMW-TC14 1.4x teleconverter included.
