The Canon RC-IP1000 is an advanced PTZ controller built to run large multi-camera installs from a single control surface, pairing with Canon's PTZ camera range — such as the CR-N300 and CR-N500 — so one operator can cover a whole rig of remote cameras.

Control surface

42 buttons, 14 dials and 66 LEDs are laid out across a 25° sloped control surface for visibility and comfortable extended use, with a precision pan/tilt joystick, zoom rocker and focus dial for hands-on framing. Controls are grouped into categories for a clear panel layout.

Customisable and touchscreen control

A 7-inch touchscreen shows up to 9 cameras at once, and 10 user buttons plus 5 function dials (User 1-5, F1-5) can be assigned to frequently used functions, accessible directly from the touch panel or status screen without diving into menus.

Video and connectivity

A 12G-SDI input supports up to 4K60p alongside IP visual input, with HDMI output; incoming SDI or IP video can be passed through to an external monitor or device via SDI or HDMI. The controller operates over Canon's XC protocol as well as RS-422 serial.

Scale

A single RC-IP1000 can control up to 200 connected Canon cameras, organised into as many as 20 groups of up to 10 cameras each — enough to run a full studio PTZ rig, a multi-room install, or a large-scale multi-angle streaming and recording setup from one control surface.
