The Canon CINE-SERVO 50-1000mm T5.0-8.9 (PL Mount) is a broadcast-style servo zoom built to cinema optical standards, combining ENG-style handling with cinema-grade image quality in one lens. Designed for cinema cameras with Super 35 sized sensors and suitable for 4K acquisition, it mounts on PL-mount cinema bodies and covers a wide focal range from a single position.

Reach

A 20x optical zoom covers 50 to 1000mm, with a maximum aperture of T5.0 at the wide end. A built-in 1.5x extender pushes the range out to 75-1500mm while retaining 4K-capable optical performance.

Broadcast handling, cinema control

ENG-style zoom, focus and iris servos bring broadcast-standard handling to a cinema lens, and zoom, focus and iris positions can be programmed for repeatable moves. Zoom speed is adjustable from 1.5 to 180 seconds, and a 180° focus ring with a knurled grip carries double focus markings in feet and metres.

One lens, two crews

A detachable drive unit and support for rod-mounted accessories mean the lens works as comfortably for a solo camera operator running it handheld as it does rigged into a full broadcast or cinema production team's setup.
