The Studio Camera 6K Pro is the latest model in Blackmagic Design's Studio Camera range, built to bring cinematic images into a live studio broadcast workflow. Its larger 6K sensor, combined with Blackmagic generation 5 colour science, uses the same imaging technology found in digital film cameras to produce cinematic images for live production.

A 6K sensor with an active Canon EF mount

The 6K sensor gives greater resolution and full RGB colour, capturing up to 6K at 6144 x 3456p50. An active Canon EF lens mount opens up compatibility with a wide range of affordable EF-mount cine-style and still lenses, with iris, focus and zoom control on supported lenses.

Live streaming plus the original 6K's studio toolset

Live streaming is now built in, alongside the talkback, tally, colour correction and raw recording to USB disks carried over from the original Studio Camera 6K. Recording is to external USB-C disks in Blackmagic RAW, at sensitivities up to 25,600 ISO.

Electronically controlled ND filters and broadcast connectivity

Built-in, electronically controllable ND filters let the camera adapt quickly as light conditions change on set. A mix of broadcast and consumer interfaces — 12G-SDI, HDMI and 10G Ethernet video I/O, plus XLR and 3.5mm audio inputs with built-in microphones — makes it straightforward to connect the 6K Pro into an existing studio setup alongside other cameras and sources.

A 7-inch touchscreen with on-camera colour correction

A 7-inch high-brightness HDR touchscreen LCD provides on-camera monitoring and menu control, and a built-in DaVinci Resolve colour corrector puts colour adjustment directly on the camera body, reinforcing the 6K Pro's role as a broadcast-ready live-production camera built around image quality and connectivity.
