The PYXIS 6K EF is Blackmagic Design's full-frame cinema box camera, taking the sensor and imaging pipeline of the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K into a compact, modular body with customisable side plates. A 36 x 24mm full-frame 6K sensor delivers rich colour and a wide 13-stop dynamic range with dual native ISO.

Full-frame 6K sensor and recording

The full-frame 6K sensor records both Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxy files, and can film up to 6K Open Gate 3:2 at 36 fps or 6K Anamorphic 6:5 at up to 60 fps, among other selectable resolutions.

Streaming and a modular body

Built-in streaming runs over Ethernet, with 4G/5G internet access available via a compatible Apple or Android phone tethered over USB-C, and switchable side plates with mounting threads let the compact body reconfigure to the rig it's shooting on.

Media, monitoring and connectivity

Two CFexpress card slots and a USB-C port cover on-board media, a 4" HDR LCD touchscreen handles framing and playback, and Ethernet plus 12G-SDI ports round out connectivity for monitoring and networked workflows.

Canon EF lens mount

This EF-mount PYXIS 6K uses a lockable Canon EF mount to pair the full-frame 6K sensor with the wide range of Canon EF and EF-mount cine lenses already common on many camera packages.
