The UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G is the simultaneous capture-and-playback model in Blackmagic's UltraStudio Mini 12G range, sending and receiving 12G-SDI at the same time over a single bidirectional Thunderbolt 4 cable that also powers the unit. One multi-rate SDI input pairs with independent fill and key outputs and a dedicated monitoring output, across every SD, HD and Ultra HD standard up to 2160p60. That simultaneous link is built for live production: instant replay and auto stinger playback run through DaVinci Resolve, firing straight out of the fill and key outputs into the programme feed, while the same connection supports live grading — capturing a signal, colour-correcting it in Resolve and returning the result in real time. Audio carries 16 channels of embedded sound on both input and output at 48 kHz, 24-bit. Built on the DeckLink API, it works natively with DaVinci Resolve and a wide range of other video software, recording to Apple ProRes, DNxHR/DNxHD, AVC-Intra, XDCAM, HEVC or uncompressed formats, on Apple Silicon Macs, Windows or Linux.
