The UltraStudio 4K Mini Thunderbolt 3 links a Thunderbolt 3 computer to video components for capture, playback or live streaming. This portable unit captures up to DCI 4K60 4:2:2 or DCI 4K30 4:4:4 over a single-link 12G-SDI connection, alongside 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 input and output, with 8-, 10- and 12-bit processing — 12-bit HDR recording tops out at DCI 4K30, while 8-/10-bit recording runs up to DCI 4K60. A built-in 3-inch LCD screen gives an on-unit preview of the signal, and a built-in SD card reader provides instant access to SD media. RS-422 deck control ties it into an existing tape or deck-based workflow, and the single 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 connection carries the signal while delivering up to 45 W of host-charging power to a connected computer, with driver support across macOS, Windows and Linux.
