The DeckLink Studio 4K is a PCIe capture and playback card with 6G-SDI and 4K HDMI inputs and outputs, covering resolutions from SD through Ultra HD 4K (3840x2160) and DCI 4K (4096x2160) — UHD and DCI 4K at 4:2:2 via 6G-SDI or HDMI, and 1080p at 4:4:4 by single-link 3G-SDI. An included breakout cable adds a wide spread of legacy and production connections: analogue component, S-Video and composite video, two channels of AES/EBU audio and four channels of balanced analogue audio, alongside RS-422 deck control, a reference input and a down-converted SD output. Genlock and an SD/HD keyer are built in, along with down/up/cross conversion. Flexible format support covers compressed video such as ProRes and DNxHD as well as 10-bit uncompressed video, and the card is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
