The Ultimatte Smart Remote 4 G2 controls up to eight Ultimatte 12 units at the same time over Ethernet, putting every keyer in the facility on one dedicated console. The 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 capacitive colour touchscreen navigates menus and adjusts settings, backed by eight rotary knobs for dialling in parameters by feel.

Eight unit ID buttons illuminate blue for the active unit, with LED indicators showing green for online and red for on air, so switching between studios takes one press. Five quick load buttons recall presets instantly and Alt plus five save buttons store them. The file clear button runs Auto Key, automatically adjusting the most important settings for a fast, clean composite, while Alt plus file clear applies Auto Key using your own user-defined presets.

Four customisable menus collect your most-used controls onto screens you build yourself, and LED brightness is user adjustable. There is also an HDMI video output running at 1080p60.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports connect to the network for Ultimatte 12 control and software updates via the Ultimatte Setup utility. Two rear USB-C 3.0 ports attach a mouse and keyboard, or USB-C storage for loading still images and saving or loading presets and archives. Power comes from a locking 5.5mm 12V DC barrel input drawing 24W maximum, suited to mains or battery supply.
