The Fairlight HDMI Monitor Interface lets you build Fairlight Console components into a custom desk using standard HDMI monitors. The compact converter mounts discreetly on the back of the monitor and converts Fairlight console Ethernet data to HDMI, giving the same instant graphic feedback for Fairlight Console Channel Control status as the purpose-built Fairlight Console LCD Monitor.

The input can also be switched to SDI, so the same screen shows the talent up close for checking lip sync while editing. There is 1 x 3G-SDI input and 2 x 3G-SDI outputs, and because the SDI output mirrors the HDMI feed, a remote SDI monitor can carry the identical picture elsewhere in the facility.

The HDMI Type A output runs standards from 1080p23.98 through 1080p60, while SDI adds 1080i50, 1080i59.94 and 1080i60 at 1.5G and 3G rates. Sampling is 10-bit 4:2:2 YUV with compliance across SMPTE 259M, 292M, 296M, 424M-B and 425 Level A and Level B, and Ethernet supports 10/100/1000 BaseT.

A USB-C port handles software configuration and updates. Power comes from the included +12V universal supply with international socket adapters, with an operational range of 6 to 30V DC and a maximum draw of just 6W — easy to run from whatever power is already behind the monitor.
