The ATEM Monitoring Rack Panel 40 is the larger of the two Monitoring Rack Panels, combining a SMPTE-2110 monitoring converter with a 2RU rack-mount ATEM control panel — adding dedicated local source, transition, talkback and monitoring controls next to the rack, alongside the built-in LCD and menus already on ATEM Constellation IP switchers. Two redundant SMPTE-2110 10G Ethernet connections feed two 12G-SDI outputs covering 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G rates, plus an HDMI output, with the picture shown on a large 5 inch built-in LCD. Each 2110 stream carries 16 channels of embedded audio, passed through as 16 channels on SDI and 8 on HDMI. On the panel side, 40 buttons control a local ATEM switcher — source, transition and talkback selection — alongside a menu knob, set button, panel lock and a front-panel 5-pin XLR talkback connection. Standards run from 720p to 2160p60 in 10-bit 4:2:2 with Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 SDI colourspace, SMPTE-2022-7 redundancy, PTP v2 timing and NMOS IS-04/IS-05 control over a dedicated 1G port. Setup runs over USB-C, an optional Blackmagic IP10 codec adds 2160p60 IP video, and dual internal 100-240V AC power supplies give full power redundancy.
