The ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP Plus is the large model in the Constellation IP range, built for major broadcast facilities and live events. Connectivity doubles to 64 inputs and 64 outputs over sixteen 100G QSFP28 Ethernet connections, arranged as eight redundant pairs carrying eight video inputs and eight outputs each. The design is fully SMPTE-2110 native and every IP video port is SMPTE-2022-7 compliant, so identical streams run over separate network switches and the output carries on untouched if one path fails.

Dedicated frame rate and format converters sit on all 64 inputs, converting any source to the switcher standard automatically. The switching engine carries 16 ATEM Advanced Keyers with advanced chroma keying, four multiviews with up to 64 total views, two SuperSource processors for a total of 12 DVEs and four media players with fill and key, while the audio mixer grows to 132 channels with 6-band parametric EQ and expander, gate, compressor and limiter dynamics.

Standards cover 720p, 1080i and 1080p through to 2160p60 in 10-bit 4:2:2, and the optional Blackmagic IP10 codec carries 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 as 2110 IP video. IEEE 1588-2008 PTP v2 timing runs on two redundant clock ports, NMOS IS-04/IS-05 handles discovery and connection management, and there are two 10G Ethernet connections for panels and control plus a 1G management port.

The 3RU chassis draws 390 W maximum through dual internal 100-240V AC power supplies, with quiet front-to-back cooling and a built-in HD LCD, speaker and headphone jack for local programme monitoring. ATEM Software Control for Mac and Windows is included, USB audio integrates with Fairlight Live and a Blackmagic SDI Expander 8x12G links 12G-SDI cameras with programme return, tally, talkback and camera control.
