The ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 40 is a control interface built for the ATEM Constellation HD line of switchers, translating the software's switching, transition and effects controls into physical buttons, knobs and fader bars. Two fader bars and a 3-axis joystick handle program/preview operation directly, while the panel customises, monitors and switches live broadcast events including camera switching, transitions, fades and DVE effects.

Rows and labelling

Two M/E rows each carry 40 input buttons, backed by 40 direct cross points and 80 shifted cross points with tri-colour LED cross-point buttons. Four system-control LCD menu displays are built into the panel in total, and every row and input button can be custom-labelled, so operators always know what each control is assigned to. 12 on-air indicators show which feeds are live.

Switching controls

A 3-axis joystick, a numeric keypad and two fader bars give hands-on control over transitions and effects, with two Preview Transition controls and four DSK transition selector groups offering Auto, Cut and Tie/Preview options.

Connectivity and power

Four 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet ports, each with a loop output, link the panel to its switcher and to additional control panels or computers. Firmware updates load via a USB Type-C input, and a redundant power supply keeps the panel running through extended sessions.
