The UDC Up/Down/Cross Converter handles up, down and cross-conversion between SD, HD and 3G video formats, using the same conversion technology as AJA's FS2 frame synchroniser in a more cost-effective package. SDI input and output cover SD, HD and 3G formats up to 1080p at 50 or 60 fps, alongside an HDMI output. Audio runs up to 16 channels of embedded SDI I/O, with up to 8 channels of embedded HDMI audio output and a further 2-channel RCA analogue audio output. A reference input is provided for locking to house sync. Control is via local DIP switches, with additional control available over USB through AJA's MiniConfig software, and a universal power supply is included.
