The OG-FIDO-T-MM converts and extends a 3G-SDI video signal over multi-mode fibre cable, taking one 3G-SDI BNC input with a BNC loop-out and putting out one LC optical fibre connection rated up to 3 Gb/s over multimode fibre, to a distance of up to 984 feet (300 m) on OM3 fibre or up to 2296 feet (700 m) on OM4 fibre. Input and output reclocking is supported, along with multiple 3G-SDI bitrates and automatic signal detection, and input-present and SMPTE-lock LEDs give at-a-glance status. This openGear-style, dual-slot, hot-swappable card fits AJA's OG-X-FR, OG-3-FR and DFR-8321 openGear frames, using a modular rear panel for customised I/O and an optional redundant power supply for a secondary source if the primary fails. It's monitored and controlled through openGear DashBoard software on Windows, macOS or Linux, either over the frame's built-in Ethernet connection or an optional per-card Ethernet link for advanced card communication.
