AJA FS-HDR is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WCG (Wide Colour Gamut) converter and frame synchronizer, built specifically to handle HDR and WCG video processing across UHD/4K and HD/2K workflows.

Colorfront-driven colour processing

Proprietary Colorfront algorithms deliver real-time colour fidelity with minimal latency, running in Colorfront Engine TV Mode alongside real-time camera log conversion.

Single or four-channel operation

FS-HDR works as a single-channel UHD 4K cross-converter, or as a 4-channel HD/2K converter — in both modes adding HDR processing, scaling, colour correction and deinterlacing.

Broad SDI and fibre connectivity

Connectivity runs to four standard 3G-SDI (BNC) inputs/outputs, plus up to four fibre or HD-BNC inputs available through optional SFP modules, supporting SD, HD and UHD 4K signals.

Ancillary data and firmware updates

FS-HDR passes through or translates critical ancillary data, including closed captioning, even while performing a conversion. Firmware update 4.1 increased buffer depth from 6 to 20 frames and added both BBC HLG format conversion LUTs and NBCUniversal (NBCU) HLG LUTs.
