The UMB-1 Universal Matte Box (Swing Away) mounts to 15mm LWS rods on a height-adjustable, swing-away bracket, letting the whole matte box swing clear of the lens for fast changes. It shares the 143mm diameter opening of the UMB-1 range, fitting lenses up to 143mm O.D., and carries two rotating 4 x 5.65" filter stages as standard, with an optional third stage available as an add-on. An ARRI-style rubber bellows with a 114mm standard opening is included, along with a set of clamp reduction rings that snap into the bellows quickly for fast lens changes and are compatible with third-party 114mm threaded bellows, plus a universal cloth donut. NATO accessory rails run along the left, right and top of the housing, and a folding top flag is included. It shares its opening, filter-stage and rail layout with the Base, Clamp On and Pro configurations, adding swing-away movement over the fixed Base bracket.
