The Cable-Free Battery Plate for RED DSMC2 (V-Mount, IDX) gives the DSMC2 BRAIN a streamlined way to run from a standard V-Mount (IDX) battery, screwing directly onto the back of the camera via its pogo mount and four captive thumbscrews for a cable-free, compact fit. The plate converts between high mode, with the battery sitting above the camera, and low mode, where it sits flush with the top of the camera for the smallest profile. Two D-Tap ports power additional accessories, and the plate passes voltage and remaining-charge data from intelligent batteries through to the camera's own LCD screen, so battery status stays visible without checking the battery itself. It's a neat option for DSMC2 setups run by a single operator or a full camera department, where a cable-free plate keeps the back of the camera tidy.
