vMix HD is the entry edition of vMix — live production, streaming and mixing software that runs on a Windows PC (Windows 10 or 11). It switches between multiple HD sources — the maximum set by the computer, its GPU and the video capture hardware installed — streams a live program feed to the web over RTMP, and records locally at up to HD resolution in AVI, MP4, MPEG-2 or WMV. Where a video output is available, it can send out a full-quality program feed for local presentation or separate recording. Beyond basic switching it adds transition effects, titles, chroma key and live video effects, a choice of four HD virtual sets, multiview with eight overlay channels and a built-in audio mixer. Screen capture from Mac or Windows and support for Blackmagic, AJA and Matrox capture cards round out a toolset built for HD production.
