The Bolt 6 XT 750 12G-SDI/HDMI transmitter and receiver ship as a lighter, quieter redesign of Teradek's SDI wireless line, built around the new 6 GHz frequency band. Both units carry bright OLED displays and wirelessly move up to 4K60 video with 10-bit 4:2:2 HDR support over roughly 230 m (750 ft) of line of sight.

Smaller, quieter, easier to read in the field

Alongside the redesign, Teradek added an SDI eye pattern tool for checking signal quality and an improved long-range mode; the whole pair runs about 50% quieter than the previous generation.

12G-SDI in, with an SDI loop output

The transmitter takes 12G-SDI or HDMI in and passes a 12G-SDI loop output through to other gear on the rig, while the receiver outputs over both 12G-SDI and HDMI — and both units fall back to the 5 GHz band to work with existing Bolt 4K-series equipment.

Camera control and a secured link

A 5-pin USB output on the transmitter carries camera control, and the wireless link is protected with AES-256 encryption, backed by four transmitter and five receiver antennas. Setup and channel selection run from Teradek's Bluetooth-connected mobile app with its built-in spectrum analyser.
