Built for professional broadcast and cinema camcorders such as the VENICE, PXW-X500, PXW-X400, PXW-Z450, MPC-3610, PMW-F55/F5 and PXW-Z280 (specific firmware versions required), the 240GB SxS PRO X memory card uses an ExpressCard/PCI Express 3.0 interface, delivering a maximum read speed of 1250 MB/s (10 Gbps) and a maximum write speed of 600 MB/s (4.8 Gbps), with a guaranteed minimum write speed of 162.5 MB/s. Sony's EB streaming technology keeps the card in constant two-way communication with compatible camcorders, holding a stable data rate through demanding recording sessions — on the VENICE, this 240GB card records up to 45 minutes of XAVC 4K Intra 59.94p footage at 600 Mbps. The card is managed through Sony's Memory Media Utility software, which adds a library function, remaining-lifetime and capacity indicators, and simultaneous backup to three locations.
