The ECM-VG1 is a rugged, all-metal short shotgun microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern, suited to camcorder-mounted or boom-pole use. Its windscreen has a rigid outer shell that stands clear of the capsule to cut wind noise, and a low-cut roll-off switch reduces wind, mechanical and proximity-effect noise. It requires 40V to 52V phantom power and terminates in XLR, and includes a boom mount, spacer, two stand adaptors and a short XLR cable.
