The eGPU Breakaway Box 750ex is an external Thunderbolt 3 enclosure for PCIe 3.0 x16 AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, turning a Thunderbolt 3-enabled notebook into a workstation for photo- and video-editing software -- suited to notebook users after more graphics power for creative work or graphically intensive games, without a whole new system. It takes two-slot, full-length cards such as the AMD Radeon VII, RX and RX Vega, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX series, TITAN and Quadro models. A built-in 750W power supply provides two 8-pin (6+2 pin) power connectors for power-hungry GPUs, plus 85W of power delivery to charge the connected notebook. Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you connect peripherals such as external drives and controllers, and a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port is also included. GPU cards are supported on compatible Windows systems and Intel Macs; Apple M-series Macs support non-GPU PCIe cards in this enclosure, not eGPU cards.
