The Echo Express SE I T3 gives a Thunderbolt 3-equipped notebook, small-form-factor desktop or other computer without a spare PCIe slot access to one. Its PCIe 3.0 x8 slot takes full-height cards up to 7.75 inches long, accommodating either a double-width card or a single-width card fitted with a daughter card -- enough to connect a professional video capture card, audio interface, SAS or SATA HBA, 16Gb or 8Gb Fibre Channel card, 10Gb Ethernet adapter or RAID controller over the Thunderbolt connection. An integrated variable-speed fan cools both the installed card and the enclosure's own components. Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports let you daisy chain up to six Thunderbolt devices from the one connection, and a Thunderbolt cable plus ThunderLok latch are included.
