The Kiloview RU01 is a 1U rackmount frame with four slots for Kiloview's plug-in encoding and decoding cards. Any mix of SDI and HDMI cards can share the frame, so one unit can encode some sources and decode others. The encoding and decoding cards it takes are separate products.

It runs on dual 35W power supplies for redundancy: if one is powered off or damaged, the frame keeps working. Two cooling fans support round-the-clock operation, and LED indicators show the state of both power supplies and each card slot.

Cards push into the slots and are held with screws. The cards Kiloview makes for the frame cover NDI HX2 and HX3, SRT, RTMP and RTMPS, HLS, TS over UDP, RTP and RTSP. For larger racks, the RU03 is the 3U, 16-slot version of the same Cradle series.
