The HS18x5.5BERD-S is a 1/2" XDCAM HD lens for Sony camera systems, with an integral 2x extender and full servo control for focus and zoom.
18x zoom with a built-in 2x extender
The lens covers a focal-length range of 5.5 to 100mm at an 18x zoom ratio. The integral 2x extender doubles the focal length at any point in the zoom range, and minimum object distance is 0.6 metres (about 2 feet).
Servo control with fast focus verification
Focus and zoom are both servo-driven, and QuickZoom moves the lens to full telephoto in under a second to verify focus before returning to the working position.
Ready to mount
The lens ships with a lens hood.
