Codex's CFexpress Type B Reader connects over USB4 at up to 5,000MB/s, faster than current CFexpress cards can read. Codex quotes 1TB off an Elite Type B card, read at 3,500MB/s, in under five minutes.

The casing is aluminium, impact and temperature resistant, with ESD and overload protection, and the cabling is encased for reliable operation. It has a magnetic mount, measures 98 x 60 x 12.75mm and weighs 128g.

It reads CFexpress Type B cards, 2.0 and 4.0, on Mac and Windows. Type A cards need a third-party adapter, sold separately.

It's also the reader you need to update the firmware on Codex CFexpress cards. It carries a 3-year warranty when you register it, or 2 years without registration.
