Codex's 2TB Excel CFexpress 4.0 Type B card has the fastest sustained write of any Codex CFexpress Type B card, at 3,000MB/s, and the most space in the Excel range. It's built into an aluminium thermal case and rated for 1,200TB written.

It works with Type B cameras and recorders including Canon's EOS C400 and EOS R5 Mark II, Nikon's Z 8 and Z 9, Panasonic's LUMIX GH7, Blackmagic Design's PYXIS 6K and the Atomos Ninja TX. It reads at up to 3,750MB/s, writes at up to 3,350MB/s and is VPG400 certified for uninterrupted 8K video.

HeatControl avoids thermal throttling as the card warms up, and FastLane keeps sustained writes high for continuous recording. ByteGuard pairs LDPC error correction with block-level RAID 5 to protect your footage. The card draws 1.25W at 400MB/s and 0.3W at idle, and carries a 3-year warranty when you register it, plus 2 years of data recovery. Firmware updates need a Codex CFexpress reader.
