The Misfit Kick is an ultra-compact, lightweight cinema matte box built around an aluminium frame and a carbon fibre shade, supplied here in a two-stage configuration that holds two separately available 4 x 4 or 4 x 5.65-inch filter trays and expands to three stages by adding a third tray. Its built-in stage assembly is adjustable from two to three stages, so you can run one, two or three trays as the shot demands. The core mounts to a lens through Bright Tangerine's lens clamp adapters, covering front diameters from 80 to 143mm, and a carbon fibre top flag helps control flare, with optional top and side flags available separately. For quicker lens changes the Misfit also accepts optional rod-mount, clip-on or swing-away bracket assemblies. As the two-tray version of the Misfit Kick, it makes a lighter build that can still grow to a third stage when a shot needs it.
