The 143mm Black Hole Donut seals the gap between a lens and matte box to block light, fitting lens front diameters from 62 to 143mm. Its stretchable elasto-polymer body has a conical shape allowing two inches of lens travel for lenses that extend when focusing, and its 138mm filter ring holds 138mm filters. It fits Bright Tangerine Viv, Viv 5-inch, Misfit and Strummer DNA matte boxes, plus select ARRI matte boxes. Because the donut cannot support a matte box's weight on its own, it requires rod support to hold the matte box in place.
