The Fairlight Console Audio Editor is the editing panel for a full Fairlight console, giving professional sound editors the speed and control tight deadlines demand. Quick access controls make high speed precision audio editing much faster than working with a mouse, and the panel installs into the console and connects to it directly over Ethernet.

The control set pairs an interactive LCD screen with touch sensitive control knobs, macro buttons and a number pad, so common operations and numeric entry sit directly under your hands. A high quality search dial with electronic clutch handles transport control and scrubbing, one of the defining controls of the Fairlight editing workflow.

A full keyboard is built in, with multi function picture keys that change based on the current task, so the keys always show what they do in the mode you are working in. The menus and controls were designed with more than 20 years of professional audio engineer guidance and use, and the layout is optimised for whatever project comes through the door.

Connection is a single Ethernet cable supporting 10/100/1000 BaseT, with a USB-C port for software configuration and updates. Power comes from an internal 100-240V AC 50/60Hz supply with an IEC C14 mains input drawing 20W maximum, and the operating range is 0° to 40°C — the same envelope as the rest of the Fairlight console panels.
