With four bi-directional SDI interfaces, the DeckLink Duo 2 is a versatile video I/O PCI-E card for professional workflows. Each interface can be independently configured as an input or output, so a system fitted with the card can run as a media play-out system, a multi-screen digital signage server, a live keyer, a real-time multi-channel capture system, or a mix of these as the job demands. It handles SD/HD/3G-SDI signals with 10/12-bit processing and 1080p at 4:4:4 by single-link 3G-SDI, and a reference input allows syncing with other studio equipment. Colour-space conversion runs in hardware in real time; a built-in software down-converter takes HD to SD on output (selectable between letterbox, anamorphic 16:9 and centre-cut 4:3), and a built-in up-converter takes SD up to 720 or 1080 HD on input. The card is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
