Blackmagic Design Cloud Store Ultra 24TB
The Cloud Store Ultra 24TB is 1RU network flash storage built around a 24TB core of 12 M.2 NVMe cards in a massive parallel RAID 0 group, designed for film and television work where dozens of users hit the storage at once. Two independent 100G QSFP28 Ethernet ports operate as completely separate networks, so a HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G can record eight cameras on one port while edit workstations work from the other, and neither can interfere with the other.
By default the core runs RAID 0 for maximum capacity, but it can be reformatted to RAID 5 so every sixth M.2 card stores parity data, letting files rebuild after a card is replaced. Up to 200 computers connect over NFS, DaVinci Resolve can edit media even while recording is in progress, and Blackmagic Cloud media sync with DaVinci Resolve proxy file support means camera media from a remote shoot starts syncing within seconds.
SDI and HDMI monitor outputs at 1080p50, 1080p59.94 or 1080p60 show a real time storage map with reads and writes, Ethernet transfer graphs, Cloud sync status and power supply errors on any display, while a built-in 2.2 inch LCD with three buttons and a spin knob handles settings from the front panel.
Server style front-to-rear cooling with four fans keeps airflow linear across the flash core, preventing hot spots and thermal throttling, and dual redundant internal AC supplies keep it running if one fails. Each 100G port can break out to 16 separate 10G connections through a Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P, setup uses the free Cloud Setup utility for Mac and Windows, and there are no subscriptions or monthly fees — it can run on a fully private network. Blackmagic Proxy Generator Lite loads as an internal software upgrade.
