KONA Xpand is AJA's optional breakout board for the KONA X video I/O card. It's a second PCIe card that expands what KONA X can connect to, adding video reference, machine control, timecode and discrete audio. Its bracket carries a BNC input for bi-level and tri-level video reference, which takes analogue colour black (1V), composite sync (2 or 4V) or HD tri-level sync (1V). The included breakout cable carries eight channels of unbalanced AES/EBU audio in and eight out on BNC, plus LTC timecode input and output and a 9-pin RS-422 connector for controlling a range of devices. Two channels of balanced analogue audio in and out are also available through a DB-15 cable, which isn't included. The board measures 108.0 x 15.9 x 98.6 mm with a 127 mm bracket and weighs 90.7 g.
