The FiDO-R is a single-channel mini-converter that turns an LC optical fibre signal into two simultaneously active 3G-SDI outputs, recovering resolutions up to 1080p from a source as far as six miles away over standard single-mode fibre cable. Its single LC fibre input and dual SDI outputs sit in a compact body rated for indoor and outdoor use, with the SDI outputs equalised and reclocked and the unit ASI compatible, meeting AJA's relevant SMPTE specifications. A locking power connector and included 5-20V worldwide power supply keep it field-ready at up to 2W. Use it with any compatible SDI device, or pair it with a corresponding FiDO transmitter to complete a fibre link. LC single-mode fibre is the connector on this receiver within AJA's single-channel 3G-SDI FiDO range, which also offers SC and ST connectors and a multi-mode LC option.
