The FiDO-4R is a quad-channel mini-converter that takes four independent LC fibre inputs and converts each to a matched 3G-SDI output, at resolutions up to Ultra HD 4K. Over standard single-mode fibre cable, it receives the four input signals from up to six miles away at full resolution, in a compact enclosure built for indoor and outdoor use around camera rigs, equipment racks and trucks. Inputs are equalised and reclocked, the unit is ASI compatible and meets all relevant SMPTE specifications. Power comes via a locking connector, with the converter drawing up to 5W and shipping with a 5-20V worldwide power supply. Use it directly with compatible SDI or fibre equipment, or pair it with a corresponding AJA FiDO Mini Converter for a complete link.
