The FiDO-T is a single-channel mini-converter that turns a 3G-SDI signal into an LC fibre output, carrying resolutions up to 1080p as far as six miles over standard single-mode fibre cable. A 3G-SDI loop output lets you monitor the source signal locally at the transmitter end, alongside the SDI input and LC optical fibre output that make up its three connections. The SDI input is equalised and reclocked, and the unit is ASI compatible, meeting AJA's relevant SMPTE specifications. Housed in a compact body with a locking power connector and rated for indoor and outdoor use, it draws up to 2W and ships with a 5-20V worldwide power supply — pair it with a corresponding FiDO receiver, or with any compatible fibre-fed device, to extend an SDI signal well beyond standard coax reach. LC single-mode fibre is the connector on this transmitter within AJA's single-channel 3G-SDI FiDO range, which also offers ST and SC connectors and a multi-mode LC option.
