The FiDO-TR is a single-channel transceiver that works in either direction — converting a 3G-SDI signal to LC optical fibre, or an LC fibre signal back to 3G-SDI — at resolutions up to 1080p, over runs as long as six miles on standard single-mode fibre cable. A matched 3G-SDI input/output pair and LC optical fibre input/output pair let one unit sit at either end of a fibre link, or pair with a corresponding FiDO Mini Converter. Housed in a compact body rated for indoor and outdoor use, it carries an equalised, reclocked input, is ASI compatible and meets AJA's relevant SMPTE specifications. A locking power connector and included 5-20V worldwide power supply support it at up to 3W. LC single-mode fibre is the connector on this transceiver within AJA's single-channel 3G-SDI FiDO range, which also offers a multi-mode LC option.
