The AJA 12G-AM-T is a 12G-SDI 8-channel AES audio embedder/disembedder mini-converter, supporting 12G-SDI input and output up to DCI/UHD 4K. It is fitted with a single-link LC fibre transmitter SFP, for carrying the signal over longer distances. AES audio disembedding runs continuously, always delivering four AES outputs, while embedding is user-selectable on a channel-pair basis — either passing the incoming SDI audio straight through or embedding AES audio supplied on the breakout cable. An XLR breakout cable carries eight channels of AES audio in and out. It's the transmitter half of AJA's 12G-AM fibre pairing, sending the signal onward to a matching LC receiver or transceiver elsewhere in the range.
