The X-Rite ColorChecker 18% Grey is an 18% grey reference target for reflective spot exposure metering and custom colour/white balance, using the same grey reference square found on the 24-patch ColorChecker Classic target. The surface is engineered to be spectrally neutral, reflecting equal red, green and blue light under any lighting condition, giving a consistent reference for setting exposure and colour balance.
