The RM-30BP is a compact wired remote controller for the Sony HXR-NX5R and PXW-FS7 (v4.0), giving operators direct access to one-push auto, manual focus, iris and zoom control from off the camera. It also controls recording and display functions, shutter speed and white balance. Six assignable buttons can be programmed to control functions and trigger playback across up to three cameras, either individually or simultaneously, and two RM-30BP units can be daisy-chained together. An adjustment knob can be set to focus, iris or electronic ND selection on cameras that offer electronic ND, and a zoom rocker with a protective bar sits at the base of the unit to guard against accidental activation. The RM-30BP also works in conjunction with the Sony MCX-500.
