The BP-U70 is a 72Wh lithium-ion battery pack for professional video shooting in the field and studio, offering a larger capacity than the previous-generation BP-U60. It communicates battery status data to the viewfinder of a compatible camcorder, so remaining charge is visible without checking the pack itself. The BP-U70 is compatible with the Sony PXW-FX9, PXW-FS7M2, PXW-FS7, PXW-FS5M2, PXW-FS5, PXW-X160, PXW-X180, PXW-X200, PXW-Z190, PXW-Z280 and PMW-300K1 camcorders.
