The AK-UC4000GSJ is a 2/3-inch 4.4K single-MOS studio camera head, built to pair with a separate Camera Control Unit over optical fibre rather than run as a standalone camcorder, for studio and OB camera chains.
A 4.4K sensor on a native B4 mount
An 11.14-million-pixel 2/3-inch single-MOS sensor, marketed as a 4.4K sensor, sits behind a native 2/3-type bayonet mount, taking 2/3-inch B4-style lenses without an external adapter.
HDR and selectable slow motion
HDR (HLG) recording in the ITU-R BT.2020 colour space is supported alongside selectable 2x, 3x or 4x HD slow-motion output, for both standard-dynamic-range and high-dynamic-range studio production.
Head outputs, with 12G-SDI at the base station
The head itself outputs HD-SDI1 and HD-SDI2 (3G/1.5G-SDI) plus an AUX terminal; downstream, the paired AK-UCU600 Camera Control Unit provides 12G-SDI, while ST-2110 is standard on AK-UCU710 and optional on AK-UCU700 with the AK-NP701G interface board.
Long fibre runs to the base station
Optical fibre carries the signal and, where wanted, power up to approximately 2,000m from the Camera Control Unit, extending to 10,000m with local camera power; the head weighs approximately 4.5kg.
