Built around dual 41 W Class-D amplifiers, the JBL 305P MKII pairs a 5-inch low-frequency woofer with a 1-inch woven-composite neodymium tweeter — a bi-amplified, powered two-way studio monitor for tracking, mixing and post. Combined output reaches 49 Hz to 20 kHz with a peak SPL of 108 dB. JBL's Image Control Waveguide keeps imaging precise across a wide sweet spot, and the Slip Stream port design extends the low end. Placement is forgiving thanks to a boundary EQ for near-wall positioning and a three-position HF trim switch to match the room, while the magnetically shielded cabinet, balanced XLR and quarter-inch TRS inputs and a selectable input-sensitivity switch make it easy to drop into a solo edit room or a multi-room facility.
