The PYXIS 12K PL is Blackmagic Design's full-frame cinema box camera, combining a large-format 12K sensor with the compact, modular design of the PYXIS range. A wide 16-stop dynamic range and Blackmagic RAW recording up to 12K 3:2 open gate put full-frame resolution into a body built to configure for run-and-gun or rigged cinema work alike.

Full-frame 12K sensor

A large-format full-frame 12K sensor with a built-in optical low-pass filter captures rich colour and fine detail, with 16 stops of dynamic range and Blackmagic RAW recording up to 12K 3:2 open gate.

Compact, modular body

The camera keeps a compact form factor with switchable side plates for reconfiguring the body to a shoot, a 4" HDR LCD touchscreen for framing and monitoring, and an HFR button with three assignable shortcuts for fast access to frequently used settings.

Media and connectivity

Two CFexpress card slots and a USB-C port handle on-board recording, a 10GbE Ethernet (RJ-45) port supporting 10/100/1000/10GBASE-T covers high-speed data and long-run connectivity, and mini-XLR plus 3.5mm inputs take production audio directly into the camera.

This PL-mount PYXIS 12K pairs its 36 x 24mm full-frame 12K sensor with cine-standard PL glass, for productions built around a PL lens set.
