The Cloud Backup 8 is built for post-production workflows that need to archive projects to low-cost storage, using eight SATA 3.5-inch drive bays for the archive itself. It syncs to Blackmagic Cloud for backing up collaborative DaVinci Resolve projects, and when the drives are full they can simply be removed and replaced with new ones for extra capacity. Four 10Gb Ethernet ports handle network access, alongside a 5 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port that also supports Ethernet, and an HDMI output gives real-time monitoring of the unit. Housed in a rackmount design, the Cloud Backup 8 is compatible with both Windows and Mac and carries no subscription costs.
